To start reading, you need to add an RSS feed:
https://example.com/feed)Use the Discover tab to explore popular feeds organized by category. Tap any feed to preview articles, then subscribe with one tap.
In the Feeds tab, you can:
Organize your feeds into custom categories to keep your reading organized and easy to browse.
Star your favorite feeds for quick access. They appear in a dedicated Favorites tab.
Bookmark articles to read later. Access all saved articles from the Saved tab.
Search across all your articles by title, content, author, or feed name.
Choose between Light, Dark, or System theme. Pick your accent color from presets or customize.
Change your app icon from Settings. Choose between Original and Dark variants.
When you subscribe to a podcast feed, episodes appear in your feed list. Tap an episode to play it:
Smart Squeeze automatically detects and speeds up silent pauses in podcasts, letting you listen faster without missing content.
Toggle it on/off in Settings → Features → Smart Squeeze
Slice remembers where you left off in each podcast episode. When you return to an episode, it automatically resumes from the last position.
Toggle which content types to show:
You can hide podcasts to see only articles, or vice versa.
Hide articles containing specific words or phrases. Add filters in Settings → Reading → Keyword Filters.
By default, Slice uses iOS background refresh to periodically update your feeds. The frequency depends on your usage patterns and iOS settings. You can manually refresh any time by pulling down on the feed list.

Articles are unread by default. Once you open an article (if "Mark as Read on Open" is enabled) or manually mark it as read, it becomes read. Read articles appear grayed out and don't count toward your unread badge.
In Settings → Data & Storage, you can:
Slice caches articles locally, so you can read previously downloaded articles offline. New articles require an internet connection to download.
Yes! Podcasts will continue playing when you lock your phone or switch apps. Use lock screen controls or the mini-player to pause/play.
