OrangeMac LLC ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS applications (collectively, the "Apps"). Please read this policy carefully. By using any of our Apps, you agree to the terms described below.

If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use our Apps.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you use the Apps, including:

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the Apps, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

Some Apps connect to third-party services to deliver their features. We only collect what is necessary to provide those features.

Slice News Reader

Slice connects to RSS feed URLs and podcast providers you add. Feed content is fetched directly from those sources to your device. We do not store your feed list or article content on our servers.

Jot — Plain Text Notes

If you enable iCloud Sync, your notes are stored in your personal iCloud Drive account, managed by Apple. OrangeMac LLC does not have access to notes stored in your iCloud Drive. Apple's Privacy Policy governs how Apple handles your iCloud data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

4. Local and Cloud Storage

Slice News Reader

Articles and feed data are cached locally on your device. Slice does not upload your reading history or feed subscriptions to OrangeMac servers.

Jot — Plain Text Notes

Notes are stored locally on your device by default. When iCloud Sync is enabled, they are synced through your personal iCloud Drive account. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in Settings, which reverts to local-only storage.

5. Data Retention

We retain any collected diagnostic or usage data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Content you create within the Apps (notes, saved articles, etc.) remains under your control and can be deleted at any time within the App.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below.

The Apps may display or connect to third-party content (such as RSS feeds, podcast providers, and external websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Apps.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Apps after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
